Largest independent drugs firm in Egypt gets information security award

Interest in BS 7799 - Code of Practice for information security management, is fast growing internationally and across a widening variety of sectors.

Both trends are demonstrated by the registration of Amoun Pharmaceuticals, Egypt's largest independent pharmaceuticals venture with offices in Egypt and the USA.

The BS 7799 registration certificate awarded to Amoun is the first of its kind in the pharmaceuticals sector and was the 20th to be issued by BSI outside the UK.
